What a great christmas...

Forever 21 shorts and sweater, UO tights (Christmas gift from Mom), Seychelles Oxford Wedges, Michael Kors Watch (Christmas gift from Brandon), Mom's bracelet from Italy, Aerie ring, (can't remember where I got the scarf) 

Well, I must've been a good girl this year.  The watch and tights are only a couple of my christmas presents.  Not to mention my new Nikon d3100 camera, Nikon 18-55mm lens, Nikon 55-200mm lens, tripod, and camera bag!  I know, fancy right?

Hope everyone had as good of a Christmas as I did and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Goodbye 2010!

So, Sorry for the awful quality pictures.  Hopefully this will be one of the last posts with my Sony Cybershot.  Christmas is in 4 days and I've been ever so patiently waiting to get that Nikon d3100... or at least I sure hope I am.  

This skirt is an early christmas present. Thanks Mom :)  After seeing Krystal from This Time Tomorrow's post here and Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere's post here I had to have this skirt.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I've been saving these bottles for a while now in hopes of making something with them, my first idea was a wind chime and my second idea was melting them down.  Turns out you need some expensive, fancy torch to melt them. So as a result of discouragement, they have just been sitting in our kitchen window.  But since Christmas in near I thought why not take advantage of using them as decoration!

I made the bow myself with gold glitter ribbon, red velvet ribbon, and a pipe cleaner!

Vanilla Bundt Cake

I've added a new hobby to my list. Baking.  From scratch.  It's a lot more work then you would think.  I attempted this recipe from epicurious.com.  Twenty minutes active time... yet right, took me about an hour.  But I think that will get faster with practice.  Why isn't there a final picture you ask? Well that's because I thought I burnt it.  I baked it for an hour, checked it, decided to leave it in 10 more minutes and shouldn't have.  We ate it for thanksgiving anyway and it actually tasted ok.  Maybe a little dry. But considering it still tasted good even though it smelled a little burnt, it must be a good recipe.  I'm definitely going to attempt it again to perfect it! Chandler enjoyed a taste of the batter...

Real or Faux?

I decided to wear my new faux fur vest for black friday shopping.  The weather was cold and wet here in Louisiana but this vest actually kept me quite warm. As I was waiting for my mom to finish getting ready, I realized I had a twin.  That's my kitty cat(well now my parent's cat), Amber.  She's a fat, old lady alright.  She's 13 years old and has lost her stripes for grays.  Her days consist of sleeping in my parents closet, eating, and sleeping in my parents closet. She's not very fond of Chandler ("the grandcat" as my mom calls him).  He wants to play and she wants nothing to do with him.  That grumpy old lady.
